Speed test
XsNews did well in the speed test. Keep in mind that you will usually get faster service from a server near you. XsNews is located in the EU, so users outside of that area may get a slightly slower service.

Security /Company Privacy Policy
XsNews says it will not log your activity unless required by law. The company does retain your IP address when you log in and your user credentials so they can prevent spam on their system.

Payment options
XsNews accepts automatic renewal payments via Visa, Mastercard and PayPal. For one-time payments they accept iDEAL, PayPal, GiroPay, Belfius, Mistercash, Visa, Mastercard, Sofort, KBC and PaySafeCard.

Our opinion
xsNews has its advantages. They have both block and subscription accounts, which we always like to see. They also accept Bitcoin and that can make a big difference for users who are most concerned about privacy. They also have live chat on their site, which is good, although this may not be as useful for users outside of the EU as it is for those within the EU due to time zone differences. Overall, XSNews is a good service, but we still stand by our recommended providers as the best options out there. The accelerated accounts for XSNews are a bit more expensive than they should be, and in fact you can get unlimited accounts from some of our preferred providers for less money than a limited account from XSNews costs. The block accounts are good, but the prices are also a bit high.

One area where you should consider XSNews is as a backup provider. Block accounts are great for this, as you can buy as much access as you think you need, and no more. If you are trying to get a binary that your main provider doesn't have available on their servers, backup can be good. Most newsreaders can handle two different server setups, so this shouldn't be a problem. Overall, XsNews certainly seems to be a well-run company, but their prices are higher than we would like to see, and for those looking for access outside of the US, this could be obtained at a lower price
